Final Blog

        This is my final blog, so I am very happy that talking about my tree can impact me. First, My tree can give me green. I like this color so much, therefore, I usually use of fertilization, pesticides, and herbicides to take care of my tree. Let it look like fresh green. Second, my tree can bring us more fresh air and can absorb Inhaled Particulate, It is good for our health. Third, my tree can keep ecological balance, why I say that? Because, my tree form ecosystem, in this ecosystem has different organism, such as, animal, plant, bacterial and virus. Each of them have their function. This is ecological equilibrium. Finally, in Bloomington my tree is so small, but as more and more trees can form our natural environment, so we should protect our environment, I will go on take care of my tree.

Little 5

       In Indiana University, every year will hold a sport game, that is Little 5, cycling race. In our campus, the environment is very beautiful, so  cycling race competitor can enjoy the beautiful view, and take a fresh breath. It is  beneficial  our health. So, a good environment can bring us a whole day's good mood. My tree as a part of environment, it can give us green color and fresh air. In Little 5 day, people who see my tree can  associate to nature's beauty. With my tree as the center, formed a ecological system, if the  cycling race competitor pass by my tree they have a different feeling, because the summer is coming, bird will live my tree and  the grass surround by my tree. The Little 5 will become one of  Indiana's most famous landmarks.

Socio-Environmental Sustainability

     With the development of society, factors that affect environment damage and population growth are changing. More and more people need land to bulid their house and cut down a number of  trees or Widespread deforestation. The result is the increase of global temperature and unpleasant change of climate. We need the environmental sustainability. First, we need plant more trees , eliminate poverty, and make a equality of economic environment. In order to promote soci-environmental sustainability, we need contral population and plant trees. My tree is near my house, it can make  soci-environmental sustainability, although my tree is so small, it can give us more clean air. Only soci-environmental sustainability development can bring our more benefits for community.

Environmental Sustainability

    My tree as a center made up a small biosphere. There are some organisms and animal in the small biosphere. such as, bacterium, virus, birds, edc. It is because they have different function to improve environmental sustainability. The birds  produce debris can supply my tree fertilizer. Bacteria can decompose these fertilizers, the tree can better absorption of these fertilizers. So, all of them have a different function to improve environmental sustainability. If in the environment just have my tree, I think that my tree will be died soon.

Trees, Season, Leaves

    In the Dunn Woods Field Experience, I learn about the season affect trees and how to identify the type of trees. As we know, there are four season in a year. But, with the change in temperature, the trees will be grow. In Spring, Summer, and Fall trees grow up so fast and in Winter trees almost dormancy. The  leaves sprout in Spring, in summer  leaves can carry on the photosynthesis and make carbohydrate to supply the tree grow. In  autumn, most of trees are yield fruits. In winter, all leaves fall off, except, coniferous trees. There are countless type of trees in the earth. As a student, we need know some general trees variety. I think that my tree is part of  frigid zone plant. Because, in winter my tree's leaf can't fall off. Next time, I will go on study about category of the tree.

Function of My Tree

   In our environment, more and more area are drought. So , human need more trees to keep the H2O. My tree has a lot of function, such as, photosynthesis, respiration. In my opinion , the most important function is my trss can fix the water. As everyone knows that  lack of fresh water is threatening the survival of human beings, animals and plants on the globe. My tree can take advantage of respiration in soil and water conservation. "C6H12O6+6O2+6H2o →6CO2+12H2O+energy"  Protect our trees, please.

Natural Phenomena (Spring Break)

     There are many Natural Phenomena in our life. Such as, tornado, typhoon, and  lightning. Durning the spring break what impressed me most were the lightning. Lightning is a natural phenomenon, and it is produced in thunderstorms when liquid and ice particles above the freezing level collide, and build up large electrical fields in the clouds. Once these electric fields become large enough, a giant "spark" occurs between clouds and the ground like static electricity, reducing the charge separation. The lightning spark can occur between clouds and air, or between the cloud and ground. Nature for me is very mysterious. In my free time, I usually explor the nature and get the answer.

 

Abiotic environment

     As different latitude, the seasons change is different.  My tree grows the high latitudes, so the change of the four seasons is very apparent.  In the spring everything are weak up. The Temperature is gradually warming. My tree becomes very green. The influence of temperature on my tree is enormous. In the summer, raining made my tree faster to grow. The plants need the right amount of sunlight and rain to grow. Autumn is the season for harvest. After the flowers wither, there come clusters of fruits.  My tree can grow the fruit. During the winter, grasses die and my trees become dormant and stop functioning as a CO2 sink. In sum, the growth of plants need water, inorganic salts, and sunlight.

environmental Issues Affect Our

      In our life, more and more environmental issues affect the earth. Human activities destroy and pollute the envoronment, such as increasingly warm gases, climate changes, water melt, the rises of sea level, El Nino phenomenon and so on.Human development causes the emission of warm gases to overload, resulting in a series of climate changes issues.My tree in the nature is very small, but my tree in the ecosystem is very important. Because it can absorb acid rain, keep the soil in the place.So environmental Issues is becoming our the first problem.  

Urban Sprawl

     With increasing population, human gradually expand their living areas. The urban sprawl destroys forests and causes grasslands desertification. Trees are the only green things. They can purify airs. Without urban sprawl, maybe our trees should grow up in the forest. The increasing people pollute the airs. The increasing emission of green gases makes the plants in the urban more and more precious. Firstly, green plants can absorb noise. Secondly, green plants can absorb dust. Eventually, they can emit oxygen. Thus, urban needs more and more green plants. Protecting nature is to protect human ourselves. We should protect environment and cherish life.

Biochemistry in Environment

       In our living environment, biochemistry is particularly important. Because, all of things is made of chemical elements which is including  animal  plant and microbe. They need nutrition, water and inorganic salts. My tree can through photosynthesis to get nutrition, this call autotrophs.So,my tree is the lowest level in the nature. My trees can release oxygen into air, and some animal can eat the plant. Life-sustaining materials in gaseous, liquid, and solid forms are cycled through the biosphere, providing sustenance to all living organisms. Biochemistry influence the environment. 

Water is the source of life.

     In our life, water is the most important life source. But, with expansion of population and cities, a large number of forests have been cut and global climate is becoming warmer than it was hundreds of years ago. This consequence mainly comes from the role of water on ecosystem. Firstly, water is recycled in the earth. Water is chiefly evaporated from the ocean, condensed in the atmosphere. Then, it forms the rain cloud, becomes precipitation and returns to the ground. This process goes round and round. The pollutants from Human consumption and production enter into water cycle in many ways, which results in increasingly worse water mass and affects people’s health. With the number of people increasing, water that can be drunk in the nature is not far from solving human needs. Therefore, the source of water is increasingly precious. Secondly, water is the base of ecosystem. Whatever animals and plants, they all need water. Plants make use of water to carry on photosynthesis and respiration. My tree that is like them carries on these two actions to grow up every day. What’s more, animal respiration needs water. Thus, water is the foundation of everything to protect the nature.

The Super Bowl

      When I  pass through my tree, I remind that the Super Bowl match will be coming. My tree's fruits look like olive, so I like this tree so much.  Olive symbolizes peace. Both the Olympics games and  Super Bowl express the desires that people love peace .The footbal match is one of the American traditional sports, I come from China, thus, I don't know more about Super Bowl. However, I remembered that my American friend  told me a story about football game.

      When he was a child, he heard of a reader titled “Look and see, Dick and Jane”. In the beginning, he did not discern the deep meaning of these words. Later, he knew more about these from an article that helps us to “look” at Oakland Raiders' Dave Dalby and to “see” his three important Super Bowl rings. The article is about Dave Dalby’s splendid life in the field of football game and miraculous events preceding Dalby’s death.

      Dalby played 14 years in the NFL, replacing great Jim Otto, a player who made his mark in NFL history, as an offensive lineman. Dalby also played an essential role in making the Oakland Raiders a powerful team during its era in Los Angeles, California. He did not only make his team more powerful, but also inspire a young girl who wrote him just a few days before he died in his fatal accident.

Ecosystem services

     In our life, the plant has a very important effect. Especially the tree can influence our ecosystem. Such as, the carbon cycle. My tree from the natural absorption of carbon dioxide and fixed carbon atom. Turning carbon dioxide become oxygen and then released into the atmosphere.Oxygen is that all animals must be need substance.So we must protect our tree and our forest and reduce carbon dioxide emissions benefits of biological diversity.

Green tree with Sunshine

    In  winter, my tree is so green and In four months my tree will be more and more luxuriant. The tree looks like birds'  house or  Insects' home. Because spring returns to the earth and every life begans to wake up. My tree will be taller than now. The leaves will become emerald green. I want to thank for the sun.  The sun gives us sunshine and  my tree gives us the oxygen. My tree will be still here. Because all of the things are cycling and everything has their equilibrium. If the tree grows up very well, the evironment will be better and more and more animals would like to rest here.

     This is an old African proverb that say," If you want to go quickly, go alone; If you want to go far, go together."Climate change made my tree not in wilt. The weather more and more warm. How can we solve the climate crisis. It will be hard. But we can protect the environment. My tree can make more oxygen and  absorb carbon dioxide. So, Please protect the tree,and protect the forest.
